About Us

The Flattoppers snowmobile club provides grooming to two access points on the Flattops recreational area. The Flattops area is a very large area with access from Coffee Pot near Dotsero, Transfer Trail in Glenwood Springs, Silt Access up Buford Road, multiple Rifle area access, then access from the north end near meeker where Buford Road ends. On the opposite side of the Colorado River is the Grand Mesa doubling the riding areas for some of the best snowmobiling in the world. We are Fundraising for a needed SNOWCAT for Coffee Pot Access grooming.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking scenery of the White River National Forest, the Flattopers Snowmobile Club proudly maintains a network of snowmobile trails that wind their way through the majestic mountains and valleys between Glenwood Springs and Dotsero, Colorado. For over four decades, our dedicated club members have tirelessly worked to ensure that these trails remain safe, accessible, and enjoyable for snowmobilers of all skill levels.

Our commitment to providing exceptional snowmobiling experiences extends beyond trail maintenance. We actively engage with local land managers and stakeholders to advocate for responsible snowmobile use and promote the preservation of our natural resources. We also host a variety of events and activities throughout the year, fostering a sense of camaraderie and community among snowmobile enthusiasts.

The Flattopers Snowmobile Club relies on the generous support of individuals and businesses to continue its mission. Your contributions, whether financial or in the form of volunteer time, are essential in maintaining our trails, promoting responsible snowmobiling practices, and enhancing the overall snowmobiling experience in our region.

Here are some specific ways you can support the Flattopers Snowmobile Club:

  • Become a member: Join our growing community of snowmobilers and enjoy a variety of benefits, including access to member-only events, discounts on local businesses, and the satisfaction of knowing you are directly contributing to the preservation of our snowmobiling trails.

  • Volunteer your time: We welcome volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks, such as trail maintenance, event planning, and administrative support. Your time and skills are invaluable in helping us achieve our goals.

  • Make a financial donation: Your financial contributions allow us to purchase and maintain essential equipment, conduct trail grooming operations, and support our ongoing efforts to promote responsible snowmobiling.

  • Spread the word: Encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to discover the joys of snowmobiling in our beautiful backyard. By sharing your positive experiences, you can help us continue to grow our membership and expand our reach.

Together, we can ensure that the Flattopers Snowmobile Club continues to provide safe, enjoyable, and accessible snowmobiling experiences for generations to come. Your support is vital to our success, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to preserving our snowmobiling heritage.
